A Face, A Dream, A Night To Drink Away
10/01 2021
A face, a dream, a night to drink away;
Many moments remind me of those days,
Sorrows drowned, forget the world, your name.
Under violent candlelight, murmuring.
To grow weary, I'd never dream of it!
A face, a dream, a night to drink away.
Winter wind blowing from the mountaintop
It shreds my lungs as I remember it:
Sorrows drowned, forget the world, your name.
It grew as I grew tired by my window
To forget it is to die, as it sears:
The face, the dream, the night to drink away.
To say that any of it is a disaster
Would simply imply that something mattered;
Drowned sorrows, world forgetting, your name.
All because of that voice whispering to me
How it begins and how the dream ends:
A face, a dream, a night to drink away;
Sorrows drowned, forget the world, your name.
