Free time

Now that I have plenty of time to roam
Freely looking for what I call home
I'm bound by the thoughts connecting me to you.
I always change from shades of green to blue:
I wander through deserts and a bird guides me
Back to your arms on one knee;
Could armor of red ever be loved by skin of gold?
At least God had been that bold;
I hear sparrows singing by sycamore trees
And I see your hair in the gentle breeze;
How long before I'll stop
And you'll turn around making sure not to drop
The dream that you carry deep in those blue eyes.

I see pale vampires grow wings and soar
And not even Van Helsing could hope to bore
A stake through those eternal smiles;
Those interlocked arms jotted down in Da Vinci's files.
The duality of man does not shrink the world,
It expands it to infinite bounds.

How much lies under that lonesome guise?
Does the fear of death hide beneath the love of death,
Or does anxiety fight with fiery breath,
Leaving me behind on the shore
Wondering what hides behind that metal door?
Life will dispel the crying
While death complains of the sighing.
