Seventy Page Manifesto
11/20 2021
Now that many weary years have been knit
By the three sisters in the heat and cold
Deciding the shared road we eventually split,
I can finally begin my song, however bold.
As easy as it was to learn the world, the people too,
I never could have guessed it was all just a dream
That was gambled, that was won, over petty dew;
Whiskey, blankets, all is thrown into the stream.
Joking and talking from inside the bell jar,
We always thought, and still do, that we all know
Just how the wind blows, and especially how far.
Take me back, if only for the ethereal glow
See my friends write their manifestos in the smokey room,
How all we were promised turned out to be everything that we owed.
