To run away from it all over again

To run away from it all over again
As if I'd really learned anything last time
When I cried over my broken fountain pen,
Really at the man that should be in his prime.
For how long have we lived on this oblong Earth
Chasing that what we hope to find within ourselves
As if men were awaiting there to tell our worth
All there ever is, we know so, is yourselves
Notes from a gentle violin plays in the distance
As I try to even just conceptualize it:
Existence, resistance, and, oh my God, persistence
For this irrational desire to make time quick.
Just a moment is all it would take, I know it.
Just an eternity is all I need, I vow it.
